Welcome to the Masonry
If you're reading this, you're one of the first to hear about Brixo and our newsletter, The Masonry. Thanks for being here. We're building an AI-native company from the ground up and sharing the process in real time. The goal is simple: document what we're learning so you can apply it to your own work.
Our Journey
When we set out to build a new product, we quickly ran into challenges integrating LLMs and AI tooling. The technical hurdles were real: managing unpredictable costs, evaluating outputs, and wrangling fragmented tools. But just as challenging were the business issues. Aligning the company's goals with what the product and engineering teams could realistically deliver was significantly more complicated than we expected.
The Sound of the Market
As we spoke with more businesses and operators, we realized we weren't alone. The same pain points kept coming up. Nearly every finance, product, and engineering leader we talked to voiced the same concern: "We're spending money on AI, but we don't know if it's actually delivering value (yet)" Budgets get approved. LLMs get integrated. Features get shipped. But when leadership asks, "Where's the ROI?" the answers are still unclear.

We'll cover: • Which tools are worth investing in • How we're measuring ROI from our own AI usage • What's working (and what's not) in our daily operations Whether you're a product leader evaluating LLMs, an engineer building AI features, or a founder rethinking your stack, The Masonry is for you. Building with AI takes time, focus, and craft. Like masonry, it happens one brick at a time.
